Welcome to The Big Read Yuba Sutter

The Big Read runs from February 1 through March 15, 2010. It kicked off with a special "Tom-apalooza" on Sunday, January 31st in Franklin Hall at the Yuba Sutter Fairgrounds, and with fun for the entire family, including a visit from Shine, the Clown, music by Plinky and Plunky, a pie-eating contest and other games and crafts related to the Adventures of Tom Sawyer and children of his era.

We've already given away nearly 2,500 copies of "Tom Sawyer" to teachers, students, book clubs, civic organizations and individuals who've decided to read it together with friends.

There's similar types of fun awaiting the community at upcoming events. Please visit our online community for a calendar of all events and programs, photos, message boards and more. Click here.
